Small Lady's Celluloid Ear Trumpet (Ear Horn)
This small celluloid "Faux Tortoiseshell" ear trumpet is signed
"Audios" Marque Déposé. It appears to be of French manufacture.
Date of manufacture is unknown, but probably somewhere around 1920.
This small ear trumpet employs a sound reflecting type design.

In the collapsed position (above) it measures 4" in length and is
easily concealed in the hand. In the extended position (right), the
brass ear tube pulls out about 2" and rotates.

These small elegant ear trumpets were likely used by ladies. Then, as
now, ladies accessories made a fashion statement.
Notice the fancy grill covering the opening for the sound to enter
the ear trumpet.
