HITEC Sound Wizard Universal Listening System

The HITEC Sound Wizard Universal Listening System is a personal amplifier made in China for HITEC Group International, Inc. of Burr Ridge, IL about 1996.

This personal amplifier measured 3⅞" x 2" x ˝" thick and weighed 2˝ oz. (71 g) with batteries.

The User's Manual explains how to use the Sound Wizard and explains its cool accessories.

The warranty for the Sound Wizard was 1 year.

Hitec put out a Testimonials Brochure about the Sound Wizard.

The directional microphone plugged into the microphone jack on the top of the Sound Wizard. The right angle adapter was so if you were wearing the Sound Wizard around your neck on a lanyard or clipped to your pocket, you could have the microphone facing forward towards the person to whom you were talking.

However, if you were holding the Sound Wizard in your hand, then you'd just point the microphone in the direction of the person talking and thus didn't need the right-angle adapter.
