Eveready 455-P Hearing Aid "B" Battery
This is an Eveready 45 volt hearing aid "B" battery used mainly in the
2-piece vacuum tube hearing aids of the early 1940s.
This battery
weighed 8 oz., and measured 3 7/8" by 2 5/8" by 15/16".

According to this ad
that appeared in the Saturday Evening Post, January 22, 1949, the battery
cost $1.90.
This ad shows the Eveready 455-P 45 volt "B" battery (left) paired with
the Eveready 1052-P 1˝ volt "A" battery (right). As you can see, the "B"
battery was more than 7 times as expensive as the "A" battery, but it
also lasted longer.
