450 Mercury Hearing Aid Battery
The No. 450 1.4 volt mercury hearing aid battery was used in some
vacuum tube hearing aids in the early 1950s as the "A" battery, and in
some early transistor hearing aids around 1953-1955.
The No. 450 mercury battery weighed 0.18 oz. (4 g), and measured
0.570"
thick
by 0.455" in diameter (1.4 x 1.1 cm).

The No. 450 mercury battery came in at least a couple of colors,
probably made by different manufacturers. The one at the top has a blue
insulator separating the positive and negative terminals. The one at the
right has a steel gray colored insulator.
