Hearing Aid Batteries

Ministry of Health OL-345 Hearing Aid "A" Battery

This is a Ministry of Health (United Kingdom) 1½ volt "A" battery that was provided to the users of Medresco (Medical Research Council) vacuum tube hearing aids in the 1950s.

The batteries issued by the Ministry of Health were manufactured by the Eveready Co. (G.B.) Ltd. This battery weighed 3¾ oz., and measured 3¾" in height by 1¼" in diameter.
