Hearing Aid Batteries

Toshiba NR48 Mercury Hearing Aid Battery

The Toshiba No. NR48 1.4 volt mercury hearing aid battery was made by Toshiba Corporation of Tokyo, Japan, probably in the 1970s.

The Toshiba No. NR48 mercury battery measured 0.305" in diameter by 0.208" thick (0.78 x 0.5 cm) and weighed 0.02 oz. (0.5 g).

This battery size is commonly called a No. 13. The No. 13 battery was quite thick as compared to its diameter, unlike most other button batteries.
