Hearing Aid Battery Testers

Eveready Model HA-6 Hearing Aid Battery Tester

The Eveready Model HA-6 hearing aid battery tester was made around 1975. It was made by the Eveready Battery Co. Inc. of St. Louis, MO.

It was designed to test batteries for hearing aids made from about 1950 through the 1970s.

The Eveready Model HA-6 hearing aid battery tester measured 6˝" x 3 13/16" x 2 5/16" (16.5 x 9.6 x 5.9 cm)  and weighed 7.4 oz. (212 g).

The meter was easy to read. If the needle remained in the red, the battery needed to be replaced. If it was in the green, the battery was still good.

The top scale was for alkaline and carbon zinc batteries, the middle scale for silver and mercury batteries, and the bottom scale was for testing lithium batteries.

The round metal plate (bottom right) was for eas in testing batteries. You placed the battery with the positive terminal on the plate. Then you touched the black probe (negative) to the other end of the battery.
