Hearing Aid Battery Testers

Mallory Model TR-100 Hearing Aid Battery Tester

The Mallory Model TR-100 hearing aid battery tester was made by/for the Mallory Battery Company of Cleveland, OH around 1950.

It was quite a large meter, measuring 6¼" x 3¾" x 2⅝" (15.8 x 9.6 x 6.7 cm) and weighed a hefty 1 pound 2.6 oz. (528 g)

You could use the red and black probes for testing the battery, or lay the meter down and place the negative terminal of the battery on the "button" (lower left corner) and then just use the red probe for the positive terminal.

The meter had three scales, each color-coded to the colors on the switch—the red (A) scale (0-3 volts) for "A" batteries, the blue (B) scale (0-9 volts) for 9-volt batteries, and the  green (C) scale (0-30 volts) for 15, 22½ and 30 volt "B" batteries.
