Hearing Aid Battery Testers

Acousticon Battery Tester

This Acousticon battery tester was designed to test the 3 volt and 4˝ volt batteries commonly used in carbon hearing aids made in the 1920s and 1930s.

The pin on the right moved to allow it to plug into batteries that had different pin spacings.

To use this meter, you either plugged the pins into the batter sockets if it had them, or touched the pins to the battery pins if that was what it had.

This meter could be used to test batteries such as the Acousticon No. 57 battery with its widely-spaced pins for example.
