Hearing Aid Battery Testers

Sonotone Model AB-4 Battery Tester

This Sonotone battery meter was made by the Sonotone Corporation of Elmsford, NY.

It was used for testing the voltages of  "A" and "B" batteries of one-piece hearing aids that were produced around 1949.

The 3 probes were color-coded for ease of use. When testing batteries, you held the black probe is the negative side of the battery, and touched one of the other probes to the positive side. The red probe was for testing "B" batteries and the green probe for testing "A" batteries.
