Ear Trumpets (Ear Horns)

Two-section "Round Elbow" Metal Ear Trumpet (Ear Horn)

This simple, elegant ear trumpet does not have any manufacturer's marks on it. It is also not all that common so it is hard to date, but it was probably made somewhere around 1910 to 1920.

This ear trumpet is 14" long. The bell end is 5" in diameter. It is made of tin painted black. This ear trumpet is quite a light, only weighing 4.1 oz.

The two pieces of this ear trumpet twist apart. By twisting the two pieces 180°, it went from fitting the right ear to fitting the left ear.

The "Round Elbow" ear trumpet was a two-piece ear trumpet. It could be pulled apart for ease in carrying and storing.
