Small 2⅜" London Dome Ear Trumpet (Ear Horn)

This small 2⅜" London Dome ear trumpet was made by an unknown manufacturer.

Date of manufacture is also unknown, but probably somewhere around 1900.

This small ear trumpet was made of brass and painted black.

Three-quarter view of the London Dome ear trumpet. This small London Dome was only 2⅜" high by 2" in diameter (5.9 x5.1 cm). It's overall height including the earpiece was 3 1/16" (7.8 cm). It weighed 1.8 oz. (52 g).

If you look closely at the holes at 3 o'clock, the center hole and the one between them, you can faintly see the bottom of the tube as it curves upward inside the dome.
