Body Type Transistor Hearing Aids

Fidelity Model R-3 "Regina" Transistor (Body) Hearing Aid

The Fidelity Model R3 body style transistor hearing aid was manufactured by Viennatone in Austria and distributed in North America under the trade name of "Fidelity" by Fidelity Electronics Ltd of Miami, Florida.

The Model R3 was was a 3-transistor model and contained a t-coil. It was made in 1962

Controls include a volume control on the top left corner and a 3-position lever on the top right corner. This switch is labeled "O" (off), "M" microphone, and "T" (t-coil). On the right side there is a two-position tone lever labeled "H" (high) and "L" (low) tone.

The case has a chrome front and back with a thick ivory plastic band running around its edges. This hearing aid is 2½" x 1¾" x ¾" thick.
