Body Type Transistor Hearing Aids

Gem Model 82 (Featherlite) Transistor (Body) Hearing Aid

The Gem Model 82 (Featherlite) transistor hearing aid was manufactured by the Gem Earphone Company of New York in 1955.

This hearing aid used 4 transistors. The on-off switch/volume control is in the top right corner, while a 3 position tone control is in the top left corner (see bottom picture).

Its size was  1⅞" x 1˝" x  ˝" thick.
