Body Type Transistor Hearing Aids

Maico Model W Transistor (Body) Hearing Aid

The Maico Model W was manufactured by Maico Electronics, Inc. of Minneapolis, MN in 1955.  The name "Maico" was derived from the initials of the Medical Acoustic Instrument Company.

It was a 5-transistor hearing aid and had a t-coil. It measured 2½" x 1¾" x ¾" thick.

The microphone is on the top front. There are 3 little vertical slits to let the sound in.
