Zenith "Extended Range" Transistor (Body) Hearing Aid
The Zenith "Extended Range" transistor hearing aid was manufactured by the
Hearing Aid Division of the Zenith Radio Corp. beginning in January, 1960. It was an 5-transistor aid.
The Zenith "Extended Range" measured 2½" x 1¾" x
⅝" thick, and
weighed 2 oz. with battery. The case was gold-colored anodized
aluminum with a silver-colored lower front panel.
The microphone grill was an upside down "keystone" shape on the upper
front of the
hearing aid. Below it on the silver-colored panel is the name "ZENITH"
and the Zenith crest (bottom right).
