Zenith "Royal T" Transistor (Body) Hearing Aid
The Zenith "Royal T" transistor hearing aid was manufactured by the
Hearing Aid Division of the Zenith Radio Corp. beginning in February,
1953. This was Zenith's first transistorized hearing aid. It used 3
transistors.
Its gold anodized aluminum case measured 3" x 2¼" x
⅞" thick, and weighed a total of 4½ oz. with battery.
The microphone grill was a black vertical rectangle with the Zenith
crest in the middle of it (upper front
center).
