Body Type Transistor Hearing Aids

Zenith "Super Extended Range" Transistor (Body) Hearing Aid

The Zenith "Super Extended Range" transistor hearing aid was manufactured by the Hearing Aid Division of the Zenith Radio Corp. beginning in May, 1962.

The Zenith "Super Extended Range" hearing aid measured 2½" x 1¾" x ⅝" thick, and weighed 2 oz. with battery.

The case was gold-colored anodized aluminum with a silver-colored lower front panel and microphone grill.

The microphone grill was an upside down "keystone" shape on the upper front of the hearing aid. Below it on the silver-colored panel is the name "ZENITH" and the Zenith crest (bottom right).

The aid shown here had binaural receivers. These were hooked up using a "Y" receiver cord.
