Zenith "Vocalizer III" Transistor (Body) Hearing Aid
The Zenith "Vocalizer III" transistor hearing aid was manufactured by the
Hearing Aid Division of the Zenith Radio Corp. in 1972. It was an 9-transistor aid.
The Zenith "Vocalizer III" measured 2½" x 1¾" x ¾" thick, and
weighed 2 oz. with battery. The case had an anodized
aluminum front and very light grey plastic back over a black chassis.
The microphone grill is a narrow horizontal rectangle at the top
front of the case. The name "ZENITH" is engraved on the lower front
panel.

cord jack (center). Note, the plug can be put inserted so the cord
points up or down. When worn inside a pocket, a person would likely want
the cord pointing up.
The "hole" (between the pocket clip and receiver cord jack) is really
just an indentation in the plastic.
