Tonemaster Model ME-2 "Midget Earette" Behind-the-Ear Hearing Aid
This Tonemaster model ME-2 "Midget Earette" behind-the-ear hearing aid
was manufactured by the Tonemaster Manufacturing Co. of Peoria, IL in
1957.
This 3-transistor Tonemaster aid measured 1 11/16" x ¾" x 11/16" (4.3
x 2.0 x 1.7 cm). It was unusually thick for a BTE aid. It weighed 0.6
oz. (16 g). |

Like other BTE aids of its vintage, it had an external receiver like
those used on body aids.
