Oticon Model DFC "DigiFocus Compact" Behind-the-Ear Digital Hearing Aid
The Oticon DigiFocus Compact BTE hearing aid was manufactured by
Oticon A/S in Denmark in 1996. It was the second, fully digital
hearing aid to come to the market—following hard on the heels of the
Widex Senso, the world's first commercially-successful completely
digital hearing aid.
The DigiFocus came in three styles—BTE, ITE, and ITC.
The software divided the speech frequencies into 7 bands,. The
high and low frequencies were processed differently in order to enhance
speech understanding.
