Eyeglass Style Transistor Hearing Aids: 1954-1990

Fortiphone Model 51 "Spectette" Eyeglass Hearing Aid

The Fortiphone model 51 "Spectette" eyeglass hearing aid was manufactured by Fortiphone Ltd (originally Phonophor Ltd.) of London, England in 1956.

The "Spectette" required both temple pieces to house its electronics. It weighed 3˝ oz. with the battery.

The size of the black behind-the-ear module is 2" x 1" x ˝".
