In the Ear (ITE) Transistor Hearing Aids

Zenette ITE Hearing Aid

The Zenette ITE hearing aid was produced around 1967 by Zenetron, Inc. of Chicago, IL, formerly the Zenith Hearing Aid Sales Corporation, a subsidiary of the Zenith Radio Corporation. The overall dimensions of the hearing aid are ¾" by ½" by ½".

It could better be described as an At-The-Ear aid and came with three different sizes of stock ear molds.

A stock or custom ear mold snaps on to the receiver port at the top right side of the Zenette in the above picture.

It takes a 312 size battery that fits inside a battery door similar to that on modern In-The-Ear aids.
