Aurex No. B-51 Hearing Aid "B" Battery
The Aurex No. B-51? was a 33-volt hearing aid "B" battery used in
vacuum tube hearing aids in the early to mid-1940s. This particular
battery dates to 1943. The front inscriptions read,
"For use with Aurex high fidelity vacuum tube hearing aids."In the
middle, "Super "B" Battery, B-51 - 33 volts". Note
that there is some question about whether the model number is a 51 or
some other number in the 50s range as the battery is quite scuffed where
the second digit is. The best guess is that it is a "1".
At the bottom, it reads "Aurex Corporation, 1115 North Franklin Street,
Chicago, Illinois." |

reverse the polarity. In this battery, only the bottom two holes were
