Great London No. 2 Carbon Hearing Aid Battery
The Great London No. 2 carbon hearing aid battery was manufactured for
The Great London Hearing Aid Company of Toronto, Ontario for their
hearing aids made during the 1930s.
This 3-volt battery was comprised of
two large carbon-zinc dry cells in a black paper wrapping.
It
measured 3½” high by 2⅛” wide by 1” thick and weighed 6 oz.

pins were set to the back of the battery, not in the center like many
similar batteries were. This is because this battery was used with a
"fat" microphone and setting the pins back helped counterbalance the
battery so it didn't fall over when the microphone was directly attached
to the battery. |
