Rayovac 13 [L13ZA] Zinc-air Hearing Aid Battery
This Rayovac 13 [L13ZA] 1.4 volt zinc-air hearing aid battery was
made by Rayovac Corp. of Madison, WI. around 1995.
This battery weighed around 0.035 oz., and measured 0.305" in
diameter by 0.208" in height.

let air into the battery to activate it. That is why it is called a
zinc-air battery.
Once the orange tab (below) is removed the battery starts working (and
thus running down) whether you use it or not.
