Ear Mold Impression & Resulting Ear Mold Ear molds were made from ear canal impressions. Soft material was pressed into the ear canal. There it hardened in a few minutes and the impression was carefully pulled out. When it dried, it was sent to an ear mold laboratory where an exact copy of the impression was made. The impression shown here was saved in the case of a 1946 hearing aid, together with the resulting ear mold. | | Click picture for larger view | | | | |
