Starkey "Hearing Ambassador" Hear Pen Screening Audiometer
The Starkey "Hearing Ambassador" Hear Pen was a simple screening
audiometer made by Starkey Laboratories, Inc. of Eden Prairie, MN in
1990.
The Hear Pen received and FDA 510 (k) Medical Device Product Code "EWO"
(Audiometer) on August 6, 1990.
The Hear Pen was made of black plastic and measured 5¾" long. The
main part of the body was ½" in diameter (14.7 x 1.3 cm). It weighed 0.9
oz (26 g). |

produced a tone (possibly 1,000 Hz) in the miniature speaker for a quick
test of a person's hearing at that frequency.
The diameter of the "face" was ¾" (1.9 cm).

1974 for a conductor tube that is commonly used in flashlights.
