Hearing Testing Equipment

Tuning Forks (3)

This is an eclectic set of 3 tuning forks manufactured possibly during the 1960s.

These tuning forks appear to be made out of steel.

Tuning forks have been used for a lot of years in hearing testing and indeed are still used today for the same purpose.

Tuning forks are used to give the Rinne and Weber tests which help determine whether a person has a conductive or sensorineural hearing loss.
